The 7 Travel Items That Are Amazing For My Sanity

You may already know that I recently moved to Spain, and even though we are still in the middle of our transition I’ve been thinking about how some of my pre-trip purchases have been helpful in staying organized, comfortable, and mentally clear. Although travel may seem like a distant dream in the wake of this pandemic, I’m not giving my hopes up that next year will be better! Below, I’ve shared and linked all of the items that have helped with my travels and will continue to serve me well as I continue to explore Europe and the rest of the world.

1-2. This chic luggage set from Open Story

A good, hard-side suitcase will save you a lot of hassle. I know this from years using mediocre, soft suitcases. When I saw the chic options from Target’s new luggage line, Open Story, I immediately fell in love. Not only do they come in both large and carry-on sizes, but they also have lots of pockets for organization, are super lightweight, roll smoothy, are durable, and even have a TSA-approved lock to keep your items safe. I got both sizes in the champagne color and I’m so thankful I did.

3. These soft-as-hell leggings

To be honest, I’m not a huge leggings fan. I don’t like the way the spandex-like material constricts my legs. However, these leggings from Joy Lab made me change my mind because they are super soft and have a lot of “give”. I ended up wearing them for a full 24 hours of flying from Atlanta to Jerez!

4. The “Wingman Bag” from Think Rolyn

I bought this tote a long time ago as a weekender, and it has certainly lived up to my expectations. Not only is the bag big enough to store all of my entertainment items like tablets, laptops, gaming systems, journals, and books; but it’s also made out of a durable nylon material that’s easy to wipe down after a long haul through airports. They come in a ton of fun colors and prints!

5-6. These oversized makeup bags by Sonia Kasunk

Because we are in the middle of a big move, I had to bring my ENTIRE makeup and fragrance collection. The movers wouldn’t take any of my “goopy” items and this was a challenge because I’m what my mom likes to call “a goop junkie”. These cosmetic bags from the brand were the only bags that I could find that were able to overcome the challenge. They have a ton of space and plenty of pockets to organize.

7. These on-the-go resistance bands

Weightlifting is something I enjoy and since I haven’t been able to hit up a gym, I’ve found that these resistance bands are a great way to get a workout in that I feel proud of. Granted, I haven’t used them quite as often as I should be.
